GINGER SNAPS 
1 1/2 c. shortening
2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. molasses
2 eggs
5 c. sifted flour
4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cloves

Set oven to 350 degrees. Cream shortening, brown sugar, molasses and eggs until light and fluffy. Sift dry ingredients, stir into molasses mixture until blended. Form into small balls. Roll in granulated sugar and place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Remove from pan immediately.
