SATE (INDONESIAN MEAT RECIPE) 
MARINADE:

2 lb. pork, boneless (roast or chops)
1 tsp. Boembor Sesate (meat seasoning)
4 garlic gloves
1 onion
1/2 c. Ketjap Manis (sweet soja sauce)
1 tsp. coriander powder
2 tbsp. sugar
Vinegar

Cut meat in 1 1/2 inch cubes. Chop onion. Crush garlic. Add Ketjap. Add vinegar. Add sugar and coriander. marinade meat at least several hours or overnight in refrigerator. Put 4 pieces on a wooden stick and put on or under grill until brown. Rotate frequently.

SAUCE:

butter
1 onion, chopped
3 tsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. dark brown sugar
1 tsp. Sambal Oelek
4 tbsp. Ketjap Manis
1 c. smooth peanut butter
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. lukewarm water

In skillet, fry garlic powder and onion lightly brown in butter. Add peanut butter; put on low heat. When peanut butter is soft, take pan from stove add milk and water in small quantities while stirring continuously. Pour all in saucepan. When sauce is too thick, add more water. Add brown sugar, sourbal and ketjap.

Serve warm with French bread or white rice and marinated cucumber. Cut cucumber in cubes and marinate for an hour in 1 cup vinegar and 1/2 cup ketjap. Keep in refrigerator. Strain off liquid.
