FRENCH FRIED ONION RINGS 
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 egg, yolk
1-2 c. flour
Several onions, sliced 1/2" thick

Mix first 3 ingredients together. Put flour in separate bowl. Separate onion slices into rings. Dip first into milk, next in flour. Repeat to make a tasty crust. Deep fat fry until golden brown.
