PEANUT BUTTER BALLS
1/2 c. melted butter
2 c. peanut butter
1 (16 oz.) pkg. powdered sugar
4 c. crisp rice cereal
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
2 tbsp. melted paraffin

Combine butter, peanut butter, and powdered sugar; mix well. Add rice cereal and mix well. Roll mixture into 1-inch balls; set aside.

Combine chocolate morsels and paraffin in top of a double boiler; place over hot water, stirring until chocolate is melted. Place several peanut butter balls in chocolate mixture; roll with spoon to coat evenly. Remove from mixture with spoons, and place on waxed paper to cool. Continue process until all peanut butter balls are covered. Yield: about 7 dozen peanut balls.

NOTE: If desired, 2 tablespoons melted shortening may be substituted for paraffin in chocolate mixture. Refrigerate candy to prevent stickiness.
