3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
8 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
2 c. water
12 tbsp. melted shortening or oil
2 tbsp. vinegar
2 tsp. vanilla

Mix together first 5 ingredients. Make 3 holes: hole No. 1 - oil; hole No. 2 - vinegar; hole No. 3 - vanilla. Pour water over all and mix well.

Bake at 350°F approximately 30 minutes. You can mix this right in the 13 x 9 pan.
