GRANDMA BARCLAYS NUT ROLLS
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. warm water
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 tbsp. sugar
4 egg yolks
1 lb. butter

Dissolve yeast in warm water with one tablespoon sugar. Sift together flour and salt in large bowl. Make a well in center of flour. Pour in all remaining ingredients, including yeast mix. With hands, mix until all ingredients are blended well. Chill 2 hours.

FILLING:

3 lbs. ground walnuts
1 c. brown sugar
3 egg yolks

Mix together all ingredients with just enough milk to make a paste.

Divide dough into small portions. Roll in sugar to thickness of pie crust. With pizza cutter, cut into 3 inch squares. Place 1 heaping teaspoon of nut filling in center of each square. Fold over (being careful to fold outside corner under bottom - the roll will come unfolded if this is not done.). Place on ungreased cookie sheets and bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes or until lightly brown.
