RANGER COOKIES 
2 1/2 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
4 well beaten eggs
4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
4 c. quick cooking oatmeal
1 c. coconut, chocolate chips, raisins, etc.
1 c. nuts, etc. or more

Mix together shortening and white and brown sugar. Add vanilla and eggs. Add the other ingredients. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets. Make golfball sized cookies, 2 inches apart, 375 degrees, 6 minutes.
