OLD FASHIONED TEA CAKES 
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 1/2 c. self-rising flour

Beat butter and add sugar gradually. Add nutmeg. Add eggs and beat well. Mix in flour and milk. Roll out on floured cloth to 1/4 inch. Cut with 2 1/4 inch round cutter and place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes. They will be pale.
