CHAMPION ANGEL FOOD CAKE 
6 eggs, separated
1/2 cup cold water
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 tsp. cream of tartar

Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon colored. Add water, beat 4 minutes. Add sugar and beat another minute. Sift together, flour, baking powder and salt, add to egg mixture. Add vanilla. Beat egg whites until stiff, add cream of tartar and fold in to cake mixture.

Pour into ungreased angel food cake pan and bake at 350°F for 40 minutes.
