CREAM CHEESE BROWNIES 
1 c. sugar
4 sq. unsweetened chocolate
Sugar (see directions)
4 eggs
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 c. chopped nuts, optional

Grease 9x13 dish. In heavy saucepan over low heat, melt butter and chocolate, stirring occasionally. Beat in 2 cups sugar and 3 eggs until well blended. With spoon, stir in flour, salt, nuts and 1 tsp. vanilla. Evenly spread batter in dish.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In small bowl with mixer on low beat cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 egg and 1 tsp. vanilla until just mixed, increase speed to medium and beat two minutes.

With large spoon, drop cream cheese mixture in dollops on top of batter. Using tip of knife, lightly cut through mixtures on surface to make a pretty swirl design. Bake 40 to 45 minutes. Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into 36 bars. Refrigerate. Note: Brownies will be sticky.
