BUTTERFLY COOKIES 
4 1/2 lb. sugar
2 lb. lard
5 1/2 lb. flour
10 eggs
1 lb. raisins, ground
1/2 pt. molasses
2 oz. (2 tbsp.) soda
Salt
Vanilla
Nutmeg or ginger

Mix, take a small ball of dough. Press onto oiled cookie sheet with fingers. Brush with milk or sour cream. Bake about 14 minutes at 350 degrees. Yield: 16 dozen large cookies.
