1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. flour
1 c. milk
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla

ICING:

1/2 box confectioners' sugar
1 tbsp. butter
Juice of 1 lemon

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in one at a time, eggs, salt, flour, milk, baking powder and vanilla. Pour into buttered and floured 10 1/2 x 15 1/2 pan. Bake 375 degrees 30 minutes.

To make icing, combine ingredients to spreading consistency. Ice when sheet cake is still warm from the oven.

Can be made in layers and any desired frosting can be used. Also makes good petit fours.
