BANANA BREAD 
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. ripe bananas (about 2 bananas)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. milk

Cream butter, add sugar gradually. Add eggs and beat well. Add banana pulp and vanilla. Next sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk; blend well. Pour into 2 (1 lb.) loaf pans that have been greased and bottom lined with wax paper. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes. Test with cake tester to see if done in center. If golden brown and not cooked through, cover top with aluminum foil and continue to bake until it tests done.
