FUDGE NUT BARS 
1 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 c. quick rolled oatmeal, uncooked

Cream together butter and sugar. Mix in eggs and vanilla. Mix in flour, soda and salt. Stir in rolled oats. Spread about 2/3 of this in bottom of 15 x 10 inch pan. Pat in pan gently. Set aside remainder of oatmeal mixture while you make the filling.

FILLING:

1 (12 oz.) pkg. milk chocolate chips
1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
2 tbsp. butter
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts (optional

Mix all together in double boiler. Stir until melted and well mixed. Cover oatmeal mixture with filling. Dot chocolate with remaining oatmeal mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Do not overbake. They freeze well.
