RICH CHOCOLATE CAKE WITH PECAN
FUDGE FROSTING
 
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. oil
4 tbsp. Hershey's cocoa for baking
1 c. water
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs

Bring butter, oil, cocoa and water to a boil. Pour over flour and sugar. Add buttermilk, eggs, soda and vanilla. Mix by hand. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

FROSTING:

Start about 15 minutes before cake comes out of oven. 4 tbsp. cocoa 6 tbsp. buttermilk 1 box confectioners' sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. chopped pecans

Bring butter, cocoa and buttermilk to a boil. Pour over sugar. Add vanilla and pecans. Pour frosting over hot cake.
