PRIMARY POTATOES AND SAUSAGE AU
GRATIN
 
1 lb. Polish sausage, cut into 1/2 inch strips
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 pkg. Au Gratin potatoes (Betty Crocker)
2 1/2 c. hot water
1/4 tsp. pepper
4 med. carrots, cut into 2 inch julienne strips
16 oz. pkg. frozen broccoli, thawed and drained
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese

In Dutch oven or large pan, cook sausage and onion until onion is tender. Stir in potatoes and sauce mix, water, and pepper. Heat to boiling, reduce heat, cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes.

Add carrots, cover and simmer for another 10 minutes. Stir in broccoli and cheese; cover and cook until broccoli is heated and cheese is melted, about 5 to 10 minutes. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
