CHOCOLATE SAUERKRAUT CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. water
1 c. sauerkraut, drained & chopped
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Mix cocoa and water together and add alternately with dry ingredients. Add drained and chopped sauerkraut. Mix well. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.

FROSTING:

Mix 6 ounce package chocolate chips with 4 tablespoons butter. Cool. Then add 1/2 cup sour cream, 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Add 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar. Blend with mixer.
