QUICKIE MORNING MUFFINS 
1 c. oatmeal
1 c. Bran Buds or bran cereal
1 c. bite-size Shredded Wheat
1 1/2 c. boiling water
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 c. flour
2 c. buttermilk
Blueberries (optional)
Raisins (optional)
Nuts (optional)

Combine oatmeal, bran cereal and Shredded Wheat. Pour boiling water over cereals and let soak until cool. In another bowl, mix together eggs, sugar, salt, and shortening. Add baking soda, flour and buttermilk. Stir in cereals. Makes 2 quarts.

Can be stored in refrigerator for up to 6 weeks. Add blueberries, raisins, nuts, etc. to muffin cups right before baking. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
