ORIENTAL FLANK STEAK 
1 flank steak (3 to 4 lbs.), well trimmed
1/2 c. soy sauce
3 tbsp. vegetable oil
3 tbsp. honey
1 tsp. grated fresh ginger or 3/4 tsp. ground ginger
1 crushed clove garlic

Place steak in large stainless steel, enamel, or glass dish. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over meat. Let the meat stand in the mixture for several hours, turning occasionally. Broil or grill steak to desired doneness.

For rare steak, grill or broil 5 minutes each side. Cut steak into thin slices on the diagonal, using sharp knife. Serves 4.
