COMPANY COFFEE CAKE 
1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 pt. sour cream
6 tbsp. soft butter
1 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped nuts

Cream shortening and vanilla. Add eggs singly, beating after each addition. Mix flour, baking powder and baking soda together. Add to creamed mixture, alternating with sour cream. Grease a 10 inch tube pan and put 1/2 of the batter in the pan.

Cream butter, brown sugar and cinnamon together. Add chopped nuts and mix well. Dot 1/2 of this evenly over the batter in the pan. Cover with rest of batter and topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Cool 10 minutes and remove from pan.
