CREOLE STEAK 
1 lb. chopped beef or hamburg
1/4 c. bread crumbs
1 egg
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. solid tomatoes

Mix ingredients and form into 2 loaves. Have 1 tablespoon Crisco hot in pan. Brown on both sides quickly, then cook more slowly, turning them again. They take about 15 minutes to fry them. Add 1/2 cup of tomato juice; cover and let simmer about 10 minutes.
