1 lb. ground beef 2 c. bouillon, made using 2 bouillon cubes 1 bay leaf 1 env. Knox gelatin 1/8 tsp. mace 1/8 tsp. thyme Salt and pepper to taste 1/3 c. flour 1 stalk celery, cut fine 2 green onions, cut fine 1 egg Bread crumbs Salad oil Cook ground beef with bay leaf, mace, thyme, salt, pepper, onions, and celery for approximately 20-30 minutes. Mix in bouillon and gelatin in meat mixture. After cooking spread out on a cookie sheet or large platter. Let it cool in the refrigerator until very cool and thick. Then form croquettes. Roll in bread crumbs, then in beaten egg and again in bread crumbs. Fry them in hot salad oil. |
