DUTCH CHRISTMAS COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 c. lard
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. sour cream
1/2 tsp. baking soda
4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
4 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 c. chopped nuts

Cream shortening. Add sugar and sour cream. Mix well. Add ingredients alternately. Add nuts. Mix and roll in 2 rolls. Put in ice box. Slice the next day and bake. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
