DON'S BAKED BEANS 
1 lb. navy beans
1 lg. onion
1 can tomato sauce
1 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. prepared mustard
1/2 lb. smoked metts
3 strips bacon
2 tbsp. salt (you might use less)

Cook beans, onions and salt until tender. Retain liquid from draining. Pour beans into casserole. Add tomato sauce, sugar, mustard and metts, which has been ground up. Mix well; add enough retained liquid to make mixture thin. Cover with bacon strips. Bake at 375 degrees until solid.
