GIANT CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
2 1/4 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
7/8 c. Crisco shortening
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. sugar (may omit unless you want sweeter cookies)
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped pecans
1 over flowing c. golden raisins
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside. In large bowl, combine shortening, sugars, and vanilla. Beat in eggs. Add flour mixture and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips, nuts, and raisins. Makes approximately 3 dozen large cookies by mounding 1 1/2 to 3 tablespoons of dough per cookie. Bake 12 to 15 minutes until firm on ungreased cookie sheet.
