GRAM'S BISCUITS | |
2 c. all-purpose flour 1 1/4 tsp. baking soda 3 tbsp. sugar 2 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar 1/2 tsp. salt 1 stick butter 1 scant c. of milk Mix all dry ingredients together. Cut in butter with two knives or pastry blender; mixture should have small lumps. Add milk and hand mix. Spoon into greased 9x9 inch or 10 inch pie pan. Bake at 400 degrees, 15-20 minutes until golden. Enjoy with stews, soups or even served with fruit, like a shortcake. |
