1 stick butter or Blue Bonnet 1/2 cup Milk 2 cups granulated sugar 2 heaping tablespoons Peter Pan Peanut butter 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 1/2 cups Quick Oats In a large pan on medium heat, melt the stick of butter completely then add the milk and sugar. Stir continuously. Bring to boil for 3 minutes, no longer. Turn burner off, add vanilla and peanut butter to smooth out the peanut butter. Add the oats; blend together then drop on wax paper or cookie sheet. Break it down: On a electric stove top - I melt the butter completely then add milk and sugar. When I cannot stir the boiling down, I start my 3 minute count. After the 3 minutes is done, I turn the burner off. Keeping the pan on the burner, I add the vanilla and Peter Pan peanut butter. Stir to melt the butter add the oats slowly. Then drop them on a cookie sheet. Submitted by: Tater |
