DELICIOUS SUGAR COOKIES (ROLL
OUT COOKIES)
 
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. white sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, beat until fluffy. Add vanilla. In separate bowl, sift or mix flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Add 1/3 at a time to butter and egg mixture, beating well after each addition. Cover and refrigerate at least 3 hours. Use a lot of flour to roll out, dough will get sticky fast! Roll out 1/4 inch thick, cut out. Bake at 360 degrees about 10 minutes. Cool, frost with glaze.
