HOMEMADE BREAD | |
2 pkgs. dry yeast 1/2 c. warm water 1 3/4 c. warm water 3 tbsp. sugar 1 tbsp. salt 2 tbsp. soft shortening 7 - 7 1/4 c. flour Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water. Place dry ingredients in large bowl and add yeast and remaining ingredients. Knead and place in greased bowl in warm place and let rise for 1 hour. Punch down, form loaves and let rise again for another hour. Bake at 425 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. |
