2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. water
1 stick butter
1/2 c. salad oil
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk

In mixing bowl, mix well: 2 cups flour, 2 cups sugar and 1/2 teaspoon salt. In saucepan mix 1 cup water, 1 stick butter, 1/2 cup salad oil and 3 tablespoons cocoa. Bring to a boil; stir frequently. Pour boiling mixture over flour mixture; mix well. Add 2 eggs and beat well. Mix 1 teaspoon baking soda in 1/2 cup buttermilk. Add to mixture with 1 teaspoon vanilla. Grease and flour cookie (sheet cake) pan. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
