HOT SHOT ROLLS | |
1/4 c. Crisco 1 c. hot water 5 tbsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1 egg, well beaten 1 pkg. yeast 2 tbsp. warm water 3 1/2 to 4 c. flour, plain Don't get shortening too hot. Dissolve yeast in WARM water. Add sugar and salt in the HOT water. Add beaten eggs, and yeast in mix until stiff and smooth. Pat top with melted butter and cover with hot towel. Let rise 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Put in greased pans and pat melted butter on top of rolls. Bake at 400 degrees 10-12 minutes. Makes 24-30 rolls if clover leaf. |
