SOUR CREAM CAKE 
2 eggs, separated
1 c. sugar
1 c. sour cream
1 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped nut meats

Beat egg yolks; add sugar and sour cream. Blend. Sift flour, soda, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon together. Stir only enough to moisten all the flour. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake in moderate oven at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes. When cool, cover with an icing. Makes one 8 x 8 inch cake.
