BEST EVER BABY BACK RIBS
All of your family and friends will tell you these are the best ribs they have ever eaten!

4 whole racks baby back ribs, cut into thirds
salt and fresh ground pepper
garlic powder
1/2 cup vegetable oil (or more)
1 large onion, chopped
your favorite BBQ sauce

Cut each rack of ribs into thirds and in a suitable clean container, place the ribs and season on both sides with salt, pepper and garlic powder.

Place 1/2 cup (or enough oil to coat the ribs) into a large lidded roasting pan along with an onion that has been coarsely chopped, toss to coat the ribs and onion. Place the lid on the roaster and put into a preheated 375°F oven. Bake the ribs for 45 minutes. then flip and rearrange the ribs so they lightly brown evenly. Continue cooking for another 45 minutes, or until the the ribs are fork tender and lightly browned.

You can then take the ribs to your grill to get the "grill" flavor and brush with your favorite BBQ sauce, only leave on the grill long enough to warm the sauce and get the flavor of the grill. You can also remove the ribs from the roaster and discard the onions and oil and brush the ribs with the sauce and return the ribs to the oven with the lid off for 15 minutes.
