RED WALDORF CAKE 
CAKE:

1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cocoa
2 oz. red food color
1 c. buttermilk
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. vinegar

FROSTING:

2 tbsp. flour
1 c. milk
1 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Cake: Cream together butter, eggs and sugar. Add cocoa; add red food coloring. Add buttermilk, flour, baking soda, vanilla and vinegar. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes in a 9x13 inch pan.

Frosting: Cook until thick, flour and milk, stirring constantly. Remove from stove and let cool. Cream together sugar, butter and vanilla. Pour the cool, thickened milk and flour mixture over it and beat until fluffy (it should resemble whipped cream). Cover cake.
