BARBECUED MEAT LOAF | |
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef 1 c. bread crumbs 1 onion, finely chopped 1 egg, beaten 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce, divided 1/2 c. water 3 tbsp. vinegar 3 tbsp. brown sugar 3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce Combine first 6 ingredients in a large mixing bowl; add 1/2 can tomato sauce, mixing well. Place mixture in a 10 x 6 x 2 inch baking dish, and shape into a loaf. Combine remaining tomato sauce and remaining ingredients in a small mixing bowl, and pour over loaf. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done, basting often. Yield: 8 servings. |
