COLLECTOR'S CHOICE CAKE 
3/4 c. shortening
1 3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. cocoa
1 3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. mayonnaise
1 1/3 c. milk

Put shortening and sugar in large mixer bowl. Add eggs and vanilla, beat 1 minute at medium speed. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, salt and mayonnaise; beat 1 minute. Add milk to creamed mixture. Pour batter into greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool 10 minutes or let completely cool. Frost.
