GRANDMA'S SUGAR CRUMB CUPCAKES 
3/4 c. flour, sifted
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs, unbeaten
3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add sugar. Cut in shortening until mixture is as fine as meal. Combine eggs, milk and vanilla with rotary egg beater. Add about one half of liquid to dry ingredients, beating until smooth. Add remaining liquid and beat vigorously. Fill paper cupcake cups 1/2 full.

TOPPING:

3 tbsp. flour
1 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. brown sugar

Combine flour, butter and brown sugar and sprinkle heaping teaspoon of mixture on each cupcake. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
