SAVORY HAM PIE 
4 tbsp. diced onion
4 tbsp. diced green pepper
4 tbsp. butter
6 tbsp. flour
1 can cream of condensed chicken soup
1 1/3 c. milk
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 c. diced ham

Saute onion and pepper in butter until lightly browned. Stir in flour. When bubbly add soup and milk, stirring until smooth. Add lemon juice and ham. Put in a deep casserole dish which has been greased. Lay rounds of topping over ham mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until biscuits are browned.

TOPPING:

1 1/2 c. biscuit mix
6 tbsp. milk
1/2 c. grated cheese

Mix ingredients together and roll or pat out on floured board. Cut with round cookie cutter. Chicken or turkey may be substituted for ham. From Kolona, Iowa Amish Cookbook.
