1 box German chocolate cake Mix according to directions. Pour 1/4 batter into 9"x13" pan and bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool. Melt 14 ounces caramels with 1/2 cup evaporated milk and 3/4 cup butter in double boiler. Cool. Spread on cooled cake. Sprinkle with 1 cup chopped pecans and 6 ounces chocolate chips. Spread rest of batter over. Bake 30 minutes. Cool. Serve with whipped cream. |
