GRANDMA'S SPICED PEACHES 
1 can Cling peaches, drained
1/2 c. sugar
1 stick cinnamon
1 c. peach juice
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 tsp. cloves

Mix liquid and spices and simmer for 5 minutes. Put in peach halves, heat through. Cool. Put in closed container and store in refrigerator for 2 days prior to serving. This was father's mother's recipe. I've seen a variation of this using pears and substituting red wine for the vinegar.
