BANANA CHIP BARS 
3/4 c. butter
2/3 c. white sugar
2/3 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. mashed bananas
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
6 oz. chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
1 c. coconut

Cream shortening and sugars. Add vanilla. Mix. Add dry ingredients and blend well. Spread in greased and floured 10 x 15 inch jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

Can frost with powdered sugar frosting or sprinkled powdered sugar over warm bars.
