BANANA-CHIP BARS 
3/4 c. butter, softened
2/3 c. granulated sugar
2/3 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 ripe med. bananas, mashed (1 c.)

Cream butter and sugars until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; beat well. Stir in banana.

2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces (1 c.)

Stir together flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to creamed mixture; beat well. Stir in chocolate pieces. Spread in greased and floured 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool; cut into bars. Makes 36.
