TEXAS HASH 
1 lb. lean ground beef
2 med. onions, chopped
2 green peppers, chopped
1 (15 oz.) can whole tomatoes, undrained
1/2 c. uncooked long grain rice
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. uncooked elbow macaroni

Crumble ground beef into 2-quart microwave-safe casserole. Add onions and pepper.

Microwave (high), uncovered, 5 to 6 minutes or until meat is set and vegetables are softened, stirring once.

Stir in tomatoes (cut into quarters), rice, water, chili powder, salt and pepper. Cover with casserole lid.

Microwave (high) 15 minutes, stirring once or twice. Stir in macaroni. Cover.

Microwave (high) 8 to 10 minutes or until rice and macaroni are tender, stirring once.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
