TURTLE BARS 
1 box German chocolate cake mix
1/3 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. softened butter
1/2 c. pecans (if desired)

Mix all above and put half of mixture in well-greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes.

Melt 14 ounces of caramels and 1/3 cup of evaporated milk. Spread over baked cake. Sprinkle as many chocolate chips on the caramel as you desire, then crumble last half of cake mixture over the top and bake for 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees.

Cool before cutting into bars. Can refrigerate to help set.
