BREAD AND BUTTER PICKLES 
4 qt. zucchini
6 med. onions
2 green peppers
1/3 c. plain salt
5 c. sugar
3 c. apple cider vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
2 tsp. mustard seed

Slice zucchini, onions and green peppers. Cover with ice and salt for 3 hours. Toss every hour. Rinse before putting vegetables with mixture. Bring sugar, vinegar and spices to boil. Keep boiling while putting in jars.
