2 sticks butter
1/4 c. cocoa
1 c. water
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda, in buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

Bring butter, cocoa, and water to a boil. In the bowl in which you mix the batter, add sugar and flour. Pour hot mixture over this and cool a bit; beat well. Add eggs, buttermilk, soda, and vanilla. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 375 degrees for 35 minutes.

FROSTING:

1 stick butter
1/4 c. cocoa
6 tbsp. milk
1 pkg. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

Cook butter, cocoa, and milk and boil 1 minute. Add rest of ingredients.
