VANILLA REFRIGERATOR DESSERT 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. powdered sugar
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. English walnuts, chopped fine
2 1/4 c. rolled vanilla wafers (1 box)

Cream butter and sugar together thoroughly. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla, nuts and 3/4 cup wafer crumbs and heat together.

Butter 8 inch square pan. Spread 3/4 cup of crumbs over bottom of pan. Spread cream mix over crumbs evenly. Sprinkle 3/4 cup over top. Let stand overnight in refrigerator. Serves 9-12.
