GREEN BEANS WITH LEMON/DILL
BUTTER
 
2 lb. fresh green beans (young and tender work best)
1 1/2 tsp. salt, divided
1/3 c. butter
2 garlic cloves, cut into thin strips, OR garlic powder
1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
1 tbsp. chopped fresh dill OR 1 tsp. dried dill

Cook green beans and 1 tsp. salt in boiling water to cover, for 5-10 minutes, or until crisp tender. Drain and remove green beans. Set aside. Melt butter in large saucepan over medium heat; add garlic and sauté 30 seconds. Stir in remaining 1/2 tsp. salt, lemon rind and lemon juice. Add green beans and chopped dill. Toss to coat.
