BELGIAN STEW 
2 tbsp. shortening
1 1/2 lbs. neck of beef
1 c. onion, minced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. vinegar
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. water
4 potatoes
4 whole carrots

This recipe uses a pressure cooker. Heat cooker and add shortening. Cut meat into 1/2 inch pieces and sear. Add onions, garlic, salt, pepper, sugar, vinegar, nutmeg, potatoes, carrots, and water. Place cover on cooker. Allow steam to flow from vent pipe to release all air from cooker. Place indicator weight on vent pipe and cook 20 minutes with stem at cook position. Cool cooker at once.
