JESSIE'S VINEGAR DUMPLINGS 
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 c. water
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Dash of salt
1/2 c. vinegar

Mix together water, sugar, salt and bring to rapid boil. Reduce heat and cook 5 minutes. Drop dumplings in quickly, then replace cover and boil gently 12 minutes. Pour the dumplings in bowl. Serve hot with butter or pour milk over top.
